I love words. I love being surrounded by words. If I could convince my DGH (demi-god husband) that sleeping in a giant dictionary is good for his health, I would. Therefore, one of the things I want to do in our new place is take literary and inspiring quotes and turn them into wall art so I can be surrounded by words all the time.
My middle sister was recently in her school production of Beauty and the Beast. When Belle’s reprise came on and the teenage Belle belted out those words, I fell in love with them all over again.
I want adventure in the great wide somewhere. Pairing adventure and the mountains . . . gah! My soul just sings.
I think that’s why the mountains and adventure always always always show up in my fiction. Even though I can’t have a Beauty and the Beast-esq adventure, a Celeana Sardothian assassin life, or a Percy Jackson water-controlling gift–I can always create my own.
This piece will be one of the first printed on shiny expensive paper, stuffed into a happy blue frame, and hung in our library 🙂
(feel free to steal the image. I got a bigger version if you want it 🙂 )
